WELCOME TO TIMS PRESCHOOL

Tims Preschool* recognizes each child as a special creation of God.  Our goal is to encourage the unique growth of each child. While appreciating this individuality, we base our philosophy on the theory that children progress through a series of stages where growth and development are accomplished by a dynamic interaction between the child and the child's environment.

Our mission is to provide an environment that encourages a child's sense of wonder about his place in God's world.  Our desire is to nurture the growth and development of the whole child:  spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical; and to help each child develop at his or her own pace of discovery. 

Our daily schedule at Tims Preschool is a balance of quiet and noisy times, self-selected activities and teacher-led activities, individual and group projects, indoors as well as outdoors.  The child's total development is encouraged.  We provide the children many opportunities to play with their peers, learning how to be a good friend - one who shares, takes turns and cares about others. 

The classrooms are arranged in learning centers:  housekeeping and dramatic play, library and language arts, discovery (math and science), manipulatives (puzzles, blocks, sequencing, etc.), art and music, with ample materials available for the children to choose during their self-directed activity time.
