What to expect if you are new to Tims We know that your first time at church—any church-brings up some questions… We are excited that you are interested in Tims! We know you have many questions, and we have outlined some of the basics for you both here and on our home / welcome page. Feel free to explore the Tims website and If you have questions that are not addressed, please call us at 813-949-1239 or email jcazin@timschurch.org The next New Members 101 Class will be April 27th, from 4:30pm-7:30pm with dinner and childcare included. This class is taught by Pastor Jimmy and will address the basic issues of who we are and what we believe. Go here to sign up. We offer three worship services on Sunday morning, two tradional and one casual contemporary. Our worship times are:
What does the tradional service look like? This worship service has a traditional Presbyterian format which includes responsive liturgy, traditional hymns, corporate prayer, Old and New Testament Bible readings, and lectionary based sermons. You are welcome to "come dressed as you are", but you'll see more suits and ties at this service. What does the contemporary service look like? This worship service, known also as ELEVATE, is our casual contemporary service and is located in our fellowship hall. As you arrive, you'll be greeted with a table full of bagels, cream cheese & good coffee. When the service starts, the worship band leads us in 30 minutes of edgy, God-focused contemporary worship music. The sermon is biblically-based but always culturally relevant. Dress at this service is casual. Shorts and birkenstocks are welcome! Click here to get a glimpse of the music at Elevate. What about children & babies? At TIMS CHURCH, children are top priority. We are constantly working hard to improve our ministry with these precious gifts from God. Babies & Toddlers - We have two paid nursery attendants and weekly volunteers who provide excellent care for these little guys. You can feel very secure leaving your little ones here all Sunday morning, while you worship and attend Sunday school. Right now, we are looking at expanding our facilities to meet the needs of this fast growing group! PK-5th grade - We offer children's church at 9:30am. Click here more information on children's ministry. What about older kids in middle and high school? 6th-12th grade - Youth are invited to worship with us on Sunday morning. At 11am, we offer a youth Bible study in the Bliss Center. For more information on Tims youth minstry, click here. Adult Sunday school? We offer classes at 9:30am and 11am for adults.
