Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church

We welcome you and your child to this ministry of our church. Our nursery is for infants and toddlers up to 2 years old.  The nursery is located just off the Memorial Gardens between the sanctuary and Leo Erny Fellowship Hall.

What to Bring

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:

• two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please)
• a complete change of clothes
• bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (this is a good practice even for mothers who nurse)

Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippee cups) with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. This helps us keep track of your child's items.

When You Arrive at the Nursery

A Nursery leader will greet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and any other necessary items. Please note on the sign-in sheet any information that will help in caring for your child, such as feeding times, sleeping times, allergies and special needs.

At the time of check-in, a Nursery leader will apply an adhesive nametag to your child's back with his or her name on it, and label the diaper bag. You will be given a "security badge" with a designated number.  If a situation arises where you need to be notified, your number will flash on the big screen during ELEVATE.  When you return for pick-up, we will verify that your security badge matches the number on your child's nametag and then we’ll release your child to you. To ensure your child's safety, he/she will not be released to a parent without presentation of the security badge for proper identification.

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service.  As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will notify you.  

For your peace of mind, we...

* Require our nursery team to be screened to work with children.

* Clean and sanitize all toys, baby furniture, changing areas, etc., after each service.

* Strictly adhere to a "Wellness Policy." Children who are sick will not be permitted to stay in the nursery.

Pick-up Procedures

Please make sure that all of your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time. Items not claimed are donated to our CSS ministry after one month.
